NUBE Seattle is NuBe Green’s new private-label line of women’s sculptural garments, crafted entirely from local materials by local artisans. Materials consist of re-purposed garments and cast offs, as well as locally grown fibers from sustainable farms. Using these sources, seamstresses, knitters, spinners, paper makers, and felters design unique, one of a kind pieces that directly reflect the local character of the Pacific Northwest. The goal of this line, available exclusively at NuBe Green, is to continually re-discover local materials, to celebrate local craft, and to refine ‘sustainable’ design.

Designer Adrienne Antonson is an artist living on Vashon Island. She is the creative force behind the NUBE Seattle line, managing its production, material selection, and aesthetic cohesion. Antonson’s sculptural and garment-based work revolves around ideas of sustainability and self-sufficiency. Using materials that reference her immediate surroundings, she makes work that is intricate and sentimental.

FALL 2010
Influenced by the alpaca farm on which designer Adrienne Antonson lives, the first NUBE collection features alpaca fleece in the form of knitwear and felted garments and accessories. Jackets, smocks, and frocks are adorned with leather and woolen details.

SPRING 2011
Sourcing vintage silks in a muted palette of spring shades, the second NUBE collection focuses on romantic prints, fluttering layers and prim jackets.
